Only just heard about the right way to listen to In Rainbows/OK Computer

It’s a lot to do with 10s, and maths, and conspiracies. Infinitely more interesting than it sounds.

It all comes together when you realise that:

  • OK Computer was meant to be titled o1 Zeroes and Ones*
  • In Rainbows was released 10 years later with 10 days’ notice from Thom Yorke
  • …and hold the phone – all the tracks line up perfectly, flowing in to each other.

Combined tracklist:

Radiohead – 01 and 10 playlist:

2. 15 Step (In Rainbows)
3. Paranoid Android (OK Computer)
4. Bodysnatchers (In Rainbows)

8. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi (In Rainbows)

Actually, sorry to be pedantic, but I did write a book about the bloody album, OK Computer was originally going to be called Ones and Zeroes. That, or Your Home May Be At Risk If You Do Not Keep Up Payments. The latter would have been utterly fabulous, don’t you think?

Oh – you’d definitely be the authority then, my research on the subject consists of a Cracked article and one supporting link!
And now I’m off to hunt down your marvellous-sounding book.
